Are we the generation that will see the fulfilling of all things? I can only echo the thoughts of many of my brethren whom I have spoken to about these things. We believe that we ARE that generation.

So this year, I have only ONE New Year’s resolution – to draw closer to Jesus, ”…so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” (Colossians 1:10 ESV)

Even so, come Lord Jesus….

MAY 2012 FIND US ALL STRIVING TO WALK CLOSER TO OUR SAVIOR – PEACE BE WITH YOU

Lately, at the instigation of a new friend, I’ve been revisiting the aberrant teachings of the New Age movement and its connection to globalism. In my Net perusing I happened upon the Southern Baptist Convention’s 1988 and 2000 resolutions denouncing it. Interestingly, we can see their prophetic warnings being increasingly solidified as we head into global chaos on a grand scale. I was happy to see the stand they took and thought I would post it for those who think Baptists, especially Southern Baptists, too legalistic. Each church is autonomous and can be diverse in many ways, but most try to uphold the standards of SBC resolutions.

Resolution On The New Age Movement
June 1988

WHEREAS, The philosophy proliferated by the New Age movement is as old as the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), where Satan perpetrated three of the false beliefs of the New Age movement, promising you will be wise; you will be as gods; and you will not die; and

WHEREAS, The New Age movement gives people false hope by its beliefs (1) in reincarnation, (2) in endeavoring to reveal a person’s future through astrology, fortune telling, and palm reading, (3) in Universalism, the belief that there are many ways to eternal life, and that all will be saved, (4) by secular humanism, which testifies by its own manifesto, no deity will save us, we must save ourselves; and

WHEREAS, The media and entertainment industry gives the New Age movement widespread acceptance and credibility, helping it find its way into every facet of American life (i.e., literature, movies, television network programming, and music); and

WHEREAS, The New Age movement has become a powerful political, philosophical, and economic force in our contemporary culture and is exerting its influence into every facet of American life.

Therefore, be it RESOLVED, That we, the messengers of the Southern Baptist Convention, meeting in San Antonio, Texas, June 14-16, 1988, acknowledge the New Age movement’s aim to become a one-world religion is diametrically contrary to both New Testament Christianity and our American heritage; and

Be it finally RESOLVED, That we encourage our Convention agencies, local associations, pastors, and church staffs to warn and educate our Baptist constituency of the deception and critical dangers of this movement.

ON THE THREAT OF NEW AGE GLOBALISM

June 2000

WHEREAS, The New Age globalism movement advocates a one-world government, a one-world religion, and a one-world economy; and

WHEREAS, The success of New Age globalism would mean the destruction of the sovereignty of nations; and

WHEREAS, New Age globalism also poses a threat to the traditional family, proposing recognition of five genders (male, female, homosexual, bisexual, transsexual), wholesale abortion as a means of population control, and the elevation of the rights of children above parents, asserting that the state has the primary responsibility for the upbringing of children (Genesis 1:27; Leviticus 18:22; Psalm 139:13-16; Deuteronomy 6:4-9); and

WHEREAS, A key principle behind globalism is the philosophy of secular humanism, a foundational component of which is the belief that no religion can or does possess objective truth and that all religions are of equal worth; and

WHEREAS, The Christian faith is clear in stating that there is one God (1 Corinthians 8:4) and that faith in His Son is the only way of salvation (John 14:6); and

WHEREAS, Scripture teaches that God has marked the times and boundaries of the nations of the earth (Acts 17:26); and

Therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention, meeting in Orlando, Florida, June 13-14, 2000, urge all Christians to become informed about New Age globalism; and

Be it further RESOLVED, That we urge Congress, the President, and other national leaders to guard our national sovereignty, to prevent the placement of American troops under foreign military command or direction, to scrutinize and reverse the trend toward globalism, and to resist its encroachments by certain elements within our own government, the United Nations, and other organizations; and

Be it further RESOLVED, That we urge our political, educational, business, and religious leaders to do all in their power to protect the traditional family and reject all assaults against the family which have proliferated through various conferences and organizations within the United Nations (e.g., the Fourth World Conference on Women, held in Beijing in 1995, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child) and other groups; and

Be it finally RESOLVED, That we implore Christians to give primary allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ, to commit to serve Him at any cost, and to demonstrate love for country by praying and standing for national sovereignty.

And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.” (Luke 2:34-35 ESV)

Have you ever really examined this verse closely? I woke up from my Christmas nap to find this scripture foremost in my mind. What was Simeon saying to Mary through the Holy Spirit?

After I meditated on it, I went to several commentaries to get other opinions. The word “child” is not in the original texts, but it makes little difference. I think I can safely express the thoughts I had upon awakening.

What Mary had not yet experienced was how her son would eventually be perceived by the world. He was to be a “man of sorrows, acquainted with grief” as Isaiah 53 tells us. Jesus gives us a glimpse of why He would be rejected and be a “sign that is opposed”:

“…For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world–to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” (John 18:37 ESV)

Did you catch that? The reason He came into the world was to “bear witness to the TRUTH.” In fact, “truth” plays a major role in His sufferings throughout His ministry and there are 87 verses containing the word “truth” that confirms this. He walked in truth because He is the truth:

“…I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 ESV)

But as for ‘thoughts from many hearts may be revealed’, I can see why.

Even in our lives, speaking truth can make people uncomfortable, even angry, because light and truth are synonymous. When Jesus shone the light of truth on the actions of the Pharisees, they were angered because He shattered the pious façade they projected to the world and their hearts were revealed. Have you ever been in an impossible “Pharisee” situation and had no choice but to speak the truth to someone regarding a problem you might have with them, or a situation that needed correcting? If so, you understand the power of truth. It can hurt, it can heal, or it can divide, but it is necessary for us as Christians to place it in high regard because the Holy Spirit guides us daily through it.

When truth shines its light in the darkness, it uncovers the secrets of the heart. As we are commanded to walk in it, let us do so with the purest of intentions, and love.

“Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.” (Ephesians 4:25 ESV)

By Victoria Day

Throughout the years I’ve seen Christian fads come and go. I was perplexed by the Prayer of Jabez because I knew many were taking this and using it as a magical formula to gain riches. I was dismayed at the enormous positive response of the Christian community toward an obviously unscriptural movie such as Mel Gibson’s The Passion. I stood my ground on the rebirth of the Jewish gematria under the guise of “bible codes.” Now we have a very divisive and destructive weapon against community churches. The threat comes from the house church movement. Yet another “divide and conquer” strategy of the enemy that may have dire consequences if left unchallenged.

As the wife of a pastor, I have carefully assessed the home church phenomena. If truth be told, before I was married, I have many times felt alienated in churches I have attended because of my differences over doctrine or dissatisfaction over minor points. Discouragement caused me to abandon the institutional church for periods of time. However, I understand clearly now why it is necessary for us to maintain our support for the visible church.

Abandoning our local church is not the answer. I have heard many disparaging remarks from proponents of the house church movement toward saints who want to attend them and frankly, I find it hypocritical to judge faithful brother and sisters in Christ who seek to please the Lord in this way. These people are believers working out their salvation with fear and trembling as are the house churchers, but I believe the house churchers are deceived.

Ask yourselves – who would like to see God’s visible local church disappear? SATAN! The tactic is to divide and conquer. Without the local presence of the Christian church, the local symbolism of the cross that draws the soul weary would also disappear! Where would a lone Christian go to worship? Where would a non-believer touched by the Holy Spirit in repentance turn to for answers? Certainly not a home church! I recognize that the early church did meet in homes of the wealthy, but also in the catacombs during times of persecution. In times of refreshing, they founded places of worship similar to Jewish temples. These “buildings” now served as places of Christian assembly that attracted more converts. The visibility of God’s church was a blessing in a pagan society.

Meeting in a building is a privilege. In other countries, the church must go underground to worship because of persecution of Christians. What’s our excuse? Have we in this country become so deceived that we think all churches are in apostasy? I know many are, but I can testify that if one looks hard enough one can still find a faithful pastor and a loving congregation that follows Christ and is pleasing to God. What I believe we may be seeing now is “the great falling away” of Thessalonians 2:3. The church is hurting, pews are empty, doors are closing, because people want to do it “their way” and abandon, not the building, but ultimately the people of the congregation. And this is God’s will?

Neither home churches nor community churches are perfect and both can have similar problems. Scripture tells us that the same problems existed in the early church as we have today. We are to assemble together and work on spiritual growth together and it is easier to do so within the biblical structure of church guidelines God provided in His Word.

I truly believe that the home church movement is a great deception and it is selfishly working against the visiblechurchofGod. If it continues, Satan and the New Agers will get their way: the visible church will become a rare sight in our communities and the symbol of the cross, that comforting emblem of God’s ultimate gift, will eventually disappear. Are you who abandon the visible church instead of blessing it willing to accept the responsibility for this?

Another point not usually considered is that most (almost all) “house churches” are started by disgruntled church goers. Did God really call them to the ministry? In my experience, I doubt it. It is more of an “I can do it better” attitude that doesn’t follow scriptural guidelines. Many have been dismissed from teaching positions in their churches (ex: false teacher Harold Kamping). Many compromise on issues of baptism and, of course, God’s appointments (pastors, evangelists, etc.)

That said, I’m sure there are rare cases where God actually calls someone to start a church that is open to the community of believers, but to say that all others are in apostasy is divisive and completely wrong. Satan is the accuser of the brethren.

My suggestions?

Home churchers: Wake up. Find a good bible believing church in your area, and work on building up the Body, rather than unwittingly being a contributor to their ultimate demise. If you have concerns over doctrine – speak to the pastor, armed with scripture. Remember that disagreements on non-essentials is not a cause to leave. If so, you are being led, not by Jesus, but by pride.

Scripturally sound pastors: Pride can be the greatest stumbling block for pastors. Encourage open communication regarding scripture. Listen to your flock. You will be held accountable for their “soul conditions.”

May God strengthen us as we obey His command:

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV)

“If this church becomes doctrinal, I’m out the door!”

One of the elders in the church we’ve been attending was not very happy with…well, this site! It seems I was too “doctrinal” for him and his comment was harsh. Since this took place behind closed doors and I was not offered an invitation to the meeting, I thought the best way to kick off my continuation of this site was to write a bit about what “doctrine” really is. This elder doesn’t seem to understand that without doctrine there wouldn’t be teaching of any kind in the church!

As bad as that sounds, the elder is not alone. There are many Christians today who seem to disdain the D word and look upon it as legalistic. But is this true?

There are 44 occurrences of the word doctrine in the King James and 11 in the ESV. Out of these, 28 verses use the Greek word, “didache” according to Strong’s Concordance:

G1322

διδαχή

didachē; from G1321; doctrine, teaching: – instruction (2), teaching (27), teachings (1).

In Eph. 4:14 & 1st Timothy 4:6; 4:13; 4:16; 5:17; 6:1; 63; 2nd Timothy 3:10; 3:16; G1319, the word is similar:

G1319

διδασκαλία

didaskalia; from G1320; instruction (the function or the information): – doctrine (9), doctrines (3), instruction (1), teaching (7), teachings (1).

And in 1st Timothy 1:3 & 1:10

G2085

ἑτεροδιδασκαλέω

heterodidaskaleō; from G2087 and G1320; to teach other doctrine: – advocates a different doctrine (1), children (2), different doctrine (1), teach strange doctrines (1).

In Hebrews 6:1, the word is translated similarly as doctrine, but the meaning is even deeper. It is the spoken word – usually used in connection with God’s spoken Word.

G3056

λόγος

logos; from G3004; a word (as embodying an idea), a statement, a speech: – account (7), account *(1), accounting (2), accounts (2), answer (1), appearance (1), complaint (1), exhortation *(1), have to do (1), instruction (1), length *(1), matter (4), matters (1), message (10), news (3), preaching (1), question (2), reason (2), reasonable (1), remark (1), report (1), said (1), say (1), saying (4), sayings (1), speaker (1), speech (10), statement (18), story (1), talk (1), teaching (2), thing (2), things (1), utterance (2), what he says (1), what *(1), word (179), words (61).

So there it is, my friends. The very gospel of salvation is considered doctrine by God. If your church leaders aren’t in tune with doctrine, you might want to show them this article. Just sayin’….

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: (Matthew 7:28 KJV)

And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine. (Matthew 22:33 KJV)

And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, (Mark 4:2 KJV)

And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. (Mark 11:18 KJV)

And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, (Mark 12:38 KJV)

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. (Luke 4:32 KJV)

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. (John 7:16 KJV)

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. (John 7:17 KJV)

The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. (John 18:19 KJV)

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42 KJV)

Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. (Acts 13:12 KJV)

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. (Romans 6:17 KJV)

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. (Romans 16:17 KJV)

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. (1 Corinthians 14:26 KJV)

As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, (1 Timothy 1:3 KJV)

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; (1 Timothy 1:10 KJV)

If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. (1 Timothy 4:6 KJV)

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. (1 Timothy 4:13 KJV)

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (1 Timothy 4:16 KJV)

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. (1 Timothy 5:17 KJV)

Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. (1 Timothy 6:1 KJV)

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; (1 Timothy 6:3 KJV)

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, (2 Timothy 3:10 KJV)

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16 KJV)

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. (2 Timothy 4:2 KJV)

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (2 Timothy 4:3 KJV)

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. (Titus 1:9 KJV)

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: (Titus 2:1 KJV)

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, (Titus 2:7 KJV)

Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. (Titus 2:10 KJV)

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:9 KJV)

(KJV) Mat_7:28; Mat_16:12; Mat_22:33; Mar_1:22; Mar_1:27; Mar_4:2; Mar_11:18; Mar_12:38; Luk_4:32; Joh_7:16; Joh_7:17; Joh_18:19; Act_2:42; Act_5:28; Act_13:12; Act_17:19; Rom_6:17; Rom_16:17; 1Co_14:6; 1Co_14:26; Eph_4:14; 1Ti_1:3; 1Ti_1:10; 1Ti_4:6; 1Ti_4:13; 1Ti_4:16; 1Ti_5:17; 1Ti_6:1; 1Ti_6:3; 2Ti_3:10; 2Ti_3:16; 2Ti_4:2; 2Ti_4:3; Tit_1:9; Tit_2:1; Tit_2:7; Tit_2:10; Heb_6:1; Heb_6:2; 2Jn_1:9; 2Jn_1:10; Rev_2:14; Rev_2:15; Rev_2:24;

We are all aware that our economy is under extreme burden. Banker bailouts, ponzi schemes, credit scandals. But what happens when good people find themselves unable to manage their finances after a loss of employment or medical emergency? What happens to the credit rating of those who, by no fault of their own, see their once good “credit score” drop with a thud because of their unfortunate circumstances?

Unfortunately, businesses seldom stop to consider the circumstances or the persons themselves when doing “credit checks” for new hires. Even churches today rate a man’s character on his credit score. This should not be. What then becomes of the one who has been judged by the world’s standards? He is disqualified from teaching the Word of God because he has been demoted in the eyes of search committees by worldly standards – certainly not God’s standards. Sometimes, 1st Timothy 3:5 – 6 is used to justify disqualifying a pastor whose credit score doesn’t meet the standards of the world:

“He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?),…” (1 Timothy 3:4-5 NASB)

But does this apply to those, who like faithful Job, lost all he had but still gave glory to God? I think not. These verses speak about managing the FAMILY well. If Job had lived in our time, his extreme misfortunes would have caused a trip to the hospital and then an exorbitant bill for services that he could not pay after losing all he had. Sure, his credit rating would be a serious problem for those who judge by worldly standards, but in the eyes of His God, who put him in that position for His glory, it would not be an issue.

If God doesn’t count our inability to pay as a character fault, why do we? Pastoral committees should not be as the world, but see people as God sees them. What are we to do for a brother in need? What about a pastor who has fallen onto hard times?

My husband and I love the Lord and both of us have been serving Him faithfully as teachers, preachers, and everything in between. Our congregation loves him as their pastor, but we would never pass the test on the credit score and it doesn’t matter to them. They see who we are and our circumstances and judge righteously – not as the world does based upon our credit rating.

Our Testimony:

After Gary’s former wife passed away of cancer, he was stuck with juggling a mountain of bills with his income cut in half. Later when we met he head already gone through his savings trying to stay afloat, and I was just beginning to build my own credit history back up after devastating medical bills. I was laid off from my job and after my unemployment ran out, was fully expecting to be able to work in my new state of Arizona. Unfortunately, just as I arrived, the economy here took a nose dive and after many efforts, I could not find employment. My husband juggled the bills until he couldn’t make it any longer. He held two jobs – one as pastor for a minimal sum and one supporting job. Still, it was difficult. Through no fault of our own, we fell behind in a car payment and his car was repossessed. There literally was nothing he could do, and at this point we were living paycheck to paycheck and many prayers. We were in the position that many are in today. Then, the unthinkable happened. My husband lost his supporting job and our fate was sealed. We lost it all. Our house was in foreclosure and we were living on $600 a month from his church salary and a small pension annuity for another $144 a month. We also had to apply for food stamps for the first time in both of our lives just to survive – again, no fault of our own. Until these unfortunate events, my husband’s credit score was very good.

My credit problems began with a broken ankle and no insurance. To add to that, more medical bills were piled to that when I need my right eye enucleated because of malignant melanoma (that was over 15 years ago and I’m cancer free) and my non-believing husband left me to care for three children alone. I watched helplessly as the bills piled up with absolutely no way to pay them. Did I want to pay them? Of course! Do I love the Lord? Yes, I do.

There are similar stories all over the world now. One small step of misfortune for many families and they fall off the precipice they’ve been standing on for years. The foreclosure rate has never been higher. The number of good people plunging to the depth of the credit rating cesspool has increased dramatically. The question is, how should we judge them – by the world’s standards or by God’s standards?

We as Christians are told not to be like the world. We are to judge righteously. Should we disqualify a man of God who loves the Lord and whose only mark against him is his poverty and the unfortunate circumstances that led to the “mark of bad credit?” Are we like the world that judges the character of a man based upon the world’s idea of worth – monetary solvency and a good credit score? Does a good credit score have anything to do with the character of a Christian who has experienced these trials?

There are those who never experience hardship, but the man of God is not destined for a life of smooth waters. Sometimes, debt is not procured through reckless spending, although even a pastor can fall into the trap of owning credit cards! I know that I have watched my husband make every effort to pay something on all his bills even when it left us with literally nothing. He never defrauded anyone.

Whether accurate or not, the credit score system has the power to keep a person in bondage to his debtors by exempting him from employment. Rating a person’s character by the numbers on a credit score is unbiblical; however, the world sees it as just because it is based upon the dictates of the god of Mammon. Yes, this rating system can affect ones entire future and it might not even be based upon fact!

From Secret History of the Credit Card by Malgorzata Wozniacka and Snigdha Sen:

“The credit score system has been around for 45 years and is credited with making lending less discriminatory and credit more widely available. But while the meticulous collecting and sharing of consumers’ credit histories has dramatically improved the efficiency of U.S. credit markets, critics say the credit bureau’s information — affecting everything from who insures you to who hires you — may contain substantive errors and is increasingly being used and shared among companies without consumers’ knowledge.”[1]

With the world in economic turmoil, there will be many brothers and sisters in Christ that will fall between the cracks. The church should not spiritually fall into the cracks as well by judging by the world’s standards. Our judgment must contain the elements of mercy and truth. Ask – what are the circumstances of a low credit score? As Christians, we must make sure that we are not disqualifying a man of God’s choice based upon the value placed upon him by Experian, Trans Union, and Equifax. God’s kingdom is not based upon the dictates of the god of Mammon, but upon righteousness and truth.

Credit reporting was born more than 100 ago… “However, it wasn’t until 2001 that consumers gained direct access to their credit scores. Earlier that year, Consumer Reports had documented the problem of credit scores being off limits to consumers in an article entitled “New Assault on Your Credit Rating.” The article, combined with growing pressures from lending institutions wanting to disclose scores to consumers, finally opened credit score information to individuals. An updated version of the FCRA, signed into law by President George W. Bush in December 2003, requires CRAs to provide consumers a copy of their credit score at a “fair and reasonable” fee. Consumers can obtain their FICO credit score, for a fee, at myfico.com.”

This e-mail was forwarded to me from a church member. I am saddened but not surprised.

I receive many e-mails every day. The video she sent makes me sad but is not surprising given the way Obama has reacted toward Chrisitanity especially:

Her question reflects the frustration of what much of the country feels now:

“Okay, Victoria, I have a question: As Americans we have all this info on Obama. What do we do? I have put my name on every petition to try and fight some of what is going on in government outside of pure revolt like in the beginning of our country. What do we do? I pray for our country but it feels like the course has been set! Thank God he saw fit to save me.”

My response was to keep praying, but don’t be afraid of what is and what is coming. We are not going to change what is destined, but we can keep our eyes focused on Jesus and allow Him to guide us through the trials we and our country will be facing in the future and even in the present. I believe over emphasis on the minors distracts us from the majors. For a Christian, our relationship with Christ should be above all and fear should not overtake us.

It is obvious for many that protesting is having no effect upon those intent on fulfilling their own agendas. As a matter of fact, it seems the more protesting, the more labeling of those protesters as enemies of the state! Where have we seen this before?

There has been a 1776 battle cry from grass roots groups and that is admirable. However, we are NOT in 1776, but 2010. The battle field has changed, the enemy is many times ideological, and the weapons of war have become too advanced for the average patriot to stand against. I’m not saying we shouldn’t make our opposition known, but it seems out voices aren’t being heard. Better to wait until November, when our voices will be heard at the polls: Get your ‘vote ‘em out’ lists ready!

I believe, as many pastors and awake Christians, that we are feeling the beginnings of the birth pangs (Matthew 24:8). Therefore, how should a Christian react to what is happening in the world around us?

“Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. “But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36 NASB)

We know the Obama healthcare overhaul has nothing to do with healthcare. It’s all about control, and specifically population control. In 1973, the supreme court found for Roe in an unbelievable 7 to 2 decision that abortion was legal. Since then 50 million babies have been murdered in their mother’s wombs in the United States of America, where LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is promised in the Declaration of Independence.

In 1934, President Franklin D. Roosevelt created the Committee on Economic Security (CES). The CES was assigned the task of studying the need for an economic security system to provide income for the elderly and disabled. Care for those unable to work was traditionally provided by family members or, in limited cases, by the government. Roosevelt recognized the need for a national system. In January 1935, the CES issued a report to President Roosevelt outlining a plan for a national program of economic security. This plan ultimately became the Social Security Act (SSA), which was passed by Congress on August 14, 1935. It has become a government “Ponzi” Scheme.

In the summer of 1965, President Lyndon Baines Johnson signed into law Medicare and Medicaid, representing part of his “war on poverty.” At his elbow was former President Truman who was the first to suggest “healthcare” for all Americans in 1945. Needless to say, this too is a form of Ponzi Scheme.

Here we are 37 years after legalized abortion, 45 years after the “great society,” and 75 years after Social Security was enacted. Had 50 million babies not been murdered, they probably would have been working Americans today that could have helped to fund the government Ponzi Schemes for the now retiring Baby Boomer generation. But of course, that was not part of the plan. The real plan is population control. Now that the Baby Boomers are old enough to be a drain on the already insolvent social security and Medicare, the world order planners need a program to quickly eliminate the costs of this huge portion of the population. And how do they accomplish this plan? Quite simply, government controlled health care will guarantee rationing, especially to the elderly whose last years are the most costly. Eliminate the care, and the elderly pass more quickly without the drain on the government Ponzi Schemes. The plan is to eliminate the huge and costly group of Baby Boomers who are now draining Social Security and Medicare.

Here’s what former Senator Tom Daschle said in his book, Critical, “. . . The elderly have a responsibility to die, knowing that they are not going to survive their chronic illnesses, so that society can save money and pump funds into care for the younger, more worthy recipients.”
(I wish Tom would go first)

The elimination of the population of the world was started long ago by Thomas Malthus who lived from 1766 to 1834. In 1798, Malthus wrote an essay that basically stated population would continue exploding to the point where the earth could not support nor properly feed the burgeoning population. Prior to Malthus, population was considered by governments to be an asset. Malthus said that by 1890 there’d be standing room only in the world.

It was Ben Franklin that inflamed Malthus by mentioning in a talk that the colonies were growing at a rate of 3% a year. He couldn’t imagine sufficient grains being grown to feed the people at the exponential rate of growth, especially of the poor. He felt such a fate could only be avoided by severe measures. The death rate in his country of England was declining because of the Industrial Revolution and better housing and nutrition. Malthus proposed to undo all this. He wanted to encourage forms of destruction to the population by overcrowding, filth, and the hopes of a return of the plague. His diabolical views are most repulsive and as an Anglican minister, I believe he enjoyed funerals more than baptisms.

Malthus’s views were accepted by many, especially one Francis Galton, a cousin of Darwin. He proposed a policy of active “eugenics,” meaning “good births.” He wanted more children from the fit upper class and fewer or none from the poor so that evolution of humanity would prosper.

Then along came Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood. Although Malthus was content to wait for natural diseases to check numbers, and he opposed contraception and abortion, Sanger on the other hand wanted to totally stop the “unfit” from conceiving children. She desired the government to “sterilize the feeble-minded and insane.” Perhaps some have seen the documentaries of those in the 20s and 30s who were simply deaf and were sterilized as they were thought mentally deficient.

Sanger’s original organization, called the American Birth Control League, had clinics all over America to “serve” the poor and disabled. Her project attracted those who were wealthy eugenicists of the day. She wanted to create “a race of thoroughbreds.” Her supporters included Rockefeller, Duke, Scaife, Lasker, Sulzberger and Dupont.

Of course the Nazis well adopted the eugenics policies of the United States and “quality” control of breeding in Europe. We all know what happened in the concentration camps. Despite Hitler, John D. Rockefeller 3rd drew up the draft charter of the Population Council in 1954. Rockefeller and other men of great wealth placed control of population on the national agenda, inasmuch as they were watching rapid growth in Latin America, Africa and Asia because of the elimination of infectious diseases and the teaching of missionaries. With his own money, Rockefeller set up the Population Council in 1952. It still exists and the elimination of huge portions of humanity is considerable. Unfortunately, along with his fellow super-rich friends, he worked quietly behind the scenes to convince the U.S. Federal government to sign on to his agenda.

Rockefeller joined with Hugh Moore and Moore used a book by William Vogt (the national director of Planned Parenthood) entitled, “The Road to Survival,” to stimulate controversy and frighten people into fear of an explosion of mankind. Rockefeller’s old friend William Draper, was appointed by President Eisenhower to chair a committee to study foreign aid, and at this point both Moore and Rockefeller seized their chance. Moore saturated the financier, Draper with the horrors of overpopulation, and argued about economic aid being wasted because of population growth. So, in 1959, the Draper Report came out and it was the first official government report to endorse population control.

Thus was the beginning of the most anti-God, anti-Biblical programs that were not only adopted in America, but throughout the world. I could list countless epidemics and infectious diseases that have eradicated millions, as well as wars and government tyrants who have killed their own people by the millions. Here are just a few statements by those who believe in population control (albeit never of the elite) and environmental protections:

- “In order to stabilize the world population, we need to eliminate 350,000 people a day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it’s just as bad not to say it.” — Jacques Cousteau, in an interview published in the UNESCO Courier, November 1991.

- “We need compulsory birth regulation…[through] the addition of temporary sterilants to water supplies or staple food.” – Paul Ehrlich, professor of population studies and biology at Stamford University and author of “The Population Bomb.”

- “AIDS is not a malediction, but the welcome and natural remedy to reduce the population of the planet. Should human beings disappear, I surely wouldn’t mind.” (I’d like him to go first) – David Foreman, co-founder of the radical environmental movement Earth First! And co-founder of the Wildlands Project, as quoted in European newspapers, June, 1987. As an aside 31 million in India are dead from AIDS, 18 million in China, and by 2025, an expected 90 to 100 million in Africa.

- “If I were reincarnated, I would wish to be returned to earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels.” — Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, writing in a foreword to “If I Were An Animal.”

- “Right now there are just way too many people on the planet. A total world population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels would be ideal.” – Ted Turner who voiced the reason behind the mass spraying of deadly substances over the masses. (Once again, you go first Ted!) (We’ll discuss these sprayings in another article)

Corrupt governments worldwide have murdered millions upon millions in the 20th century, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Mao, Lenin, Chowchesko, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

Those of you that know American history and have watched our decent from a representative republic into a dictatorial socialistic state already know the depths of depravity that have occurred here on American soil. In Deuteronomy 30:19, the God of the Bible says, CHOOSE LIFE. Our government today is continuing population control and thus control of the smaller populace via their unconstitutional “healthcare” reform, which has everything to do with control of the populace and destruction of the best healthcare industry in the world.

The present administration is, in high speed, doing the calling of the elite that are behind the scenes. The destruction of our beloved country and her people seems to be at hand. I don’t know that we can overcome, but I do know that my God answers prayer.

It’s up to us to fight this horror and to pray like we’ve never prayed before. May God have mercy on us and on our beloved nation.
