gay2 copy“…and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter; and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds), then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,…” (2 Peter 2:6-9 NASB)

The above paragraph is not part of a “hate speech” but a portion of Scripture from God’s Word. If, or when, God’s Word becomes banned for its violation of man’s law, Christian, it’s time to gird yourself with truth and faith. They might try to silence us, but we cannot allow them to silence the Word of God. Stand firm.

I don’t usually write on the topic of homosexuality. Not because I fear reprisals. Simply because homosexuality is just one sin in the midst of many that the Bible condemns. Sin in general is destructive. It is, however, such a grievous and destructive societal sin as well as personal sin, that in the time of Abraham, God destroyed the entire cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. It’s when this sin cries victory and stands upon the backs of the last gasping breaths (notice, not THE last breath) of morality in this country, that something must be said. I am convinced that when the last breath is taken, God’s judgment will rightly fall on an America that has disowned Him.

It is difficult enough for Christians to watch the world fall apart these days. Homosexual references are everywhere. Hollywood has been using the old “immerse them in it” trick and see how desensitized they become. Television and movies have done a great job of molding the minds of our country.  Even cartoons are in on the act!

gaysThe main objective of gay lobbyists has been to change the perception of the public to accept the sinful practices of homosexuality as normal. Unfortunately, they have succeeded to a certain degree. In California, several bills have been passed. SB777, AB394 and AB14 can collectively be summarized as ensuring school children receive adequate instruction in more than just tolerance, but acceptance and participation.

“An earlier description of SB 777 from CRI noted that it “forcibly thrusts young school children into dealing with sexual issues, requiring that homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality be taught in a favorable light.”

Having lived in California most of my life, I have been exposed to blatant homosexual public behavior and it is always disturbing to me. Once a societal stigma kept carefully hidden under the baseboards, this sin has now become accustomed to the light. It now parades itself as a beacon of light in the world and assaults the faith and morality of Christians everywhere. But this devastating soul-killing sin is anything but light. If you call yourself Christian and public displays of vulgarity don’t bother you, I don’t doubt you have a spiritual problem. For those who are calling my view extremist, wake up! The main target of homosexual lobbyists, are children. It is the duty of every Christian parent to protect them. Is it any wonder that Christians are high on their hit list?

The same people demanding tolerance, attitudinal change and acceptance, are the same ones who have no problem delivering threats to pro-active Christian-based organizations such as Capitol Resource Institute, which works primarily among lawmakers to promote family values.

An e-mail from Ben Patrick Johnson of Equity California to the organization is telling. According to an article by WorldNetDaily:

“If you continue your efforts, we will BURY you,” said an e-mail from Ben Patrick Johnson, to his “colleagues” at the CRI, according to a statement from the Christian organization.
“For a group that purports to expand tolerance and civil rights, Equality California is not practicing what it preaches,” CRI said.

Is this spiritual battle against Christians?  Make no mistake, we are the main targets!  The very Word of God is under attack!

“In a video diatribe against CRI posted on his website, Johnson declares that CRI and its supporters are ‘hate peddlers’ and ‘conservative, religious prejudiced peddlers.’ He further declares that we are ‘smirky, self-righteous folks’ who have ‘launched an aggressive campaign against legislation to protect gay youth in California’s and ultimately America’s schools. ‘ This statement reveals not only the vitriolic language this supposed ‘tolerance’ group uses, but also the true agenda behind such legislation as SB 777. The radical homosexual agenda intends on sweeping the nation. California is merely the first step in the campaign to stifle free speech and stamp out opposition to ‘alternative lifestyles,'” CRI said.”

I believe in free speech, but when you speak, make sure you OWN your words. “Religious prejudiced peddlers” tells you exactly who they are aiming at. Yep – that would be me – or you.

I have known and worked with many who are gay and lesbian, even a family member, and have loved them nonetheless.

Years ago, I was reading my Bible in the company lunch room where I was employed.  There were about eight other co-workers there.  In burst one of the more “feminine” gay men and loudly pronounced to all that the security guard had told him that homosexuality was a sin.  He was quite indignant, but I looked up and simply said: “It is.” You could have heard a pin drop.  I didn’t assail him with anti-gay verbiage. I certainly didn’t threaten him physically.  I simply told him the truth via God’s Word.  The question is, would my candor be considered a hate crime today?  I have to wonder what the legal boundaries would be.

I had been one of the people who had been kind to him, so he stopped short. His face took on a completely blank look and he asked “It is?” I then had the opportunity to explain to him that according to the Bible, it certainly was.  Were we now enemies?  No, our relationship remained friendly, but I had made my point and he had listened.  Love is the key to a willing ear, but we can’t confuse love with complacency either.  We must stand firm in our beliefs as Christians.  No matter how much we dislike confrontation, we cannot give hearty approval to something that not only harms society, but that God takes as deadly serious.  So should we.

The entire purpose of this article is to remind us that homosexuality IS sin and that the hate crime law should not deter us from speaking God’s truth.  We aren’t dealing with a ‘gay gene’ and we don’t need to believe it’s an ‘alternate lifestyle.’ It is, according to God’s Word, an aberrant lifestyle – an abomination.

“For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.” (Romans 1:26-27 NASB)

This is what God says and true Christians have no choice but to concur that this is so, but we must also concur that there are many sins and many are in bondage to them. It is only when the sin itself – homosexuality – becomes a stumbling block for our children and our society that we must take a stand.  Imagine living in a country where public nudity and blatant sexual acts are allowed?  From news articles and photos of gay events, it seems they are!

The fact is, because homosexuality is a sin, it can be forgiven and repented of, but first it must be recognized as such. Jesus can change the heart and life of any sinner – even ones in the bondage of homosexuality.   Will a former homosexual still desire the same sex?  Possibly.  We are all tempted in many ways.  But like an alcoholic might still crave wine, they are able to say no to their desires by trusting Christ.  Yes, we have an amazing and awesome God.

In the final analysis, we are not looking at simply an “alternative lifestyle” or a physical abnormality – the “gay gene” theory was debunked years ago. No, we must recognize homosexuality for what it is and deal with it as it is.

The world is heading down a broad path of destruction at breakneck speed and our hearts are as Lot’s in his day, but…

“…our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12 NASB)

This is the real battle we face.  As Christians we must love them as people but not as homosexuals.  You’ve heard the adage, “hate the sin, but love the sinner?” Resist them politically to uphold godly moral values,  but don’t try to fight the world on its own terms.  Our battle is spiritual. PRAY FOR THEM.  See them as the lost souls in bondage to sin that they really are.

As far as “gay marriage” I know I’ve said little because it’s a no-brainer. They may have succeeded in legalizing it, but since God doesn’t recognize it, neither do I.

Egyptian TV Presenter Randa Samir Criticizes Homosexual Tourism in Israel

Following are excerpts from a news report by Egyptian TV presenter Randa Samir, which aired on Al-Faraeen TV on October 16, 2009.
Randa Samir: A convention has been launched in Tel Aviv in order to discuss the ways to invigorate homosexual tourists – or rather, homosexual tourism – to Israel. 25 travel agencies from abroad are participating in the convention. These agencies specialize in organizing tours for homosexuals. The initiative for the convention came from the tourism organization of the Tel Aviv Municipality, and the homosexual movement in Israel.
You see, people?! My God…My God…They do the loathsome thing that angers God in order to invigorate tourism. We will return after the break.
