Last night my husband and I listened to Answers in Genesis’ Ken Ham’s State of the Nation Address II on an “invitation only” webcast.  He touched on issues that had been on my heart and I realized that the concern for the church that I had for so long was not just my burden, but Christians in general.

His theme was the decline of Christianity in favor of Secular Humanism.  For those who might not understand the term, it basically means a belief system that contains a philosophical, man centered morality, but excludes God.  The foundation of this view is Darwinism and the theory of evolution which discounts biblical teaching.

Some of the concerns touched upon were:

Obama’s anti-Christian rhetoric

Anti-Christian sentiment in this country through the media and “science”

The attack on Christian symbolism

The attack on the World of God

Compromise of the church because biblical authority has been undermined
